Yeah, mine too.
Funny story about that one (spoilers!):
In The Signal, Alan is trapped in the Dark Place- from which all the trouble began- and it's this shifting nightmare world. It begins with him going through a scene he experienced very early on in the game, only things are all weird and hazy. This time he goes into the bathroom at the back of the diner, where the mirror is like this big old TV screen, where he gets a flashlight and a gun. The bathroom is in the exact same layout as the one at the beginning of Afraid of Monsters. ...So my first instinct was to go look at the far-left toilet stall just to see if anything was in there.
(There wasn't.)
Had my gun pointed the entire time, too.

Alan is a massive dick, though.
Maybe I'm giving Sam Lake too much credit, but I don't think this is entirely unintentional.

@Gunsmoke.
Have a look in the game case, there might be a sheet with a redeem code for the first DLC pack, "The Signal". There was in mine.
Jesus, how did I MISS that? It is a thick, glossy card. Oh well, it was packaged under the manual and I musta thought it was b.s.

Well, that seals it.
Given that it sold about two copies this side of fuck-all, we might see Alan Wake as a Windows 8 exclusive in 2012. I'm not holding my breath.
Thanks for Max Payne and the memories, Remedy.
(

Egad. :o
And I might actually buy it, too. Holy hell. (Also, holy crap, I wrote that a year and a half ago. This thread's not seen much action, huh?)

Yay, Alan gets to be a miserable dick on PC. He's so unlikeable, I want the man to be ripped apart by shadows which means I never progress very far everytime I sit down and resolve to finish it on 360.
I like to think that with Alan plunging to an icy or soul destroying death at my hands every time, Alice can then move on to something better, assuming Gozer the Gozarian releases her from his grasp.

I'll be checking it out if only because Mokkis worked on it. :thumb: (As an Env artist.)

I actually kind of fucking love this game, you miserable poop patties.

The darkness chased dethtoll into a cave where Alan was hiding. Alan shone the torch into his eyes and proceeded to witter on about his horrible book. Awkward.

Remedy delivers. Mmmmm, it look so gewd.

I remember playing the 360 version and lamenting how beautiful this already gorgeous game would look on PC. It had such untapped potential, but was shackled to the dated, barely HD hardware.
Enhanced for the PC* Includes Alan Wake Special Episodes “The Signal” and “The Writer”
* Experience Alan Wake's Pacific Northwest in higher resolutions and higher fidelity than the Xbox360 version.
* Fully configurable mouse and keyboard support, or if you prefer to play with the Microsoft gamepad connected to your PC, you can do that too!
* Lots of customizable graphics settings and support for 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios!
* Multithreaded engine that takes advantage of quad core CPUs.
* Additional features our fans have sought after such as field of view adjustment as well as “hide HUD”.* Works with AMD Eyefinity 3D 3-screen mode.
* Works with NVIDIA NVISION2 Stereoscopic 3D
