The fact that EvaUnit doesn't get why megathreads are generally bad for a community in the long term just proves what an insightful and contributing member he continues to be.

I wasn't being serious, FYI. I very much understand the possible detrimental effects of megathreads, thank you very much.
GenGaming seems to be coping fine with just the one, for what it's worth. Just because Commchat has less daily active topics than a few years ago doesn't mean that the other core forums where actual gaming discussion takes place are "dying". The thing about generalised arguments is that tend not to be absolute, megathreads may work better in some discussion arenas than they do others.
