Missed that, but why wouldn't this be possible.
It's a 360 game, no current gen console title looks anywhere near that sharp. Such extreme AA would probably reduce the game to a slideshow, considering how weak the hardware is.

So regardless of whether your TV actually displays 1280x720, that 2xAA looks better if it's on a FULL HD TV does it?
No, it doesn't.

I am no techie I have no idea what all that AA means, but as I said these games on his TV comes pretty close to this. He has a PS3 though, but the PS3 isn't any sharper than the 360 (as far as I know).

What the fuck, how you can you post on a PC-dominated game board and not know that AA is an acronym for Anti-Aliasing?

He probably has no idea how to calibrate a HDTV properly, or you just have no idea what you're talking about whatsoever.

I am not interested in the technical side of things, if something looks good I don't care why. Some people like messing around with graphics, squeezing every bit of awesome out of it, I just want to play a game. So indeed I have no idea what I am talking about and I am going to keep it like that, it's kinda cool to be like that.

So you're proud of being ignorant? Wow. Where's dethtoll when you need him?

Is an art-critic ignorant because he doesn't care what paint was used, to me it's the creativity of the painter that counts.

If you're treating games as art then you should care. Eg Playing on a lower detail (or using a current gen HD console on anything less than 720p) can be considered akin to watching a film in anything but the director's original aspect ratio or listening to an unapproved 5.1 remix of a stereo or mono film.
Realistically like film, game producers know that compromises to be made, thus making options are available to accommodate the hardware and budgets of the consumer (i.e. films made for 35mm celluloid are intended for cinema viewing). The compromises are still not a substitute for the artist's intended way for you to experience his work.
