My brother and I created the word 'Recinity' a few years ago and started seeing where we could float it. He teaches MicroBiology at a local college and gets by with it all the time. I've used it in history lectures, presentations, and even in a paper and got by with it. I have no idea what it means, but you have to be careful to slip it in and make it sound right contextually or you'll get caught out. So far though, my wife is the only one who's called me on it.

Actually, I made that word for something (
http://www.48hourfilm.com/) completely unrelated, about two years ago. We made a mockumentary about a zombie just trying to get along in a living world. Lots of silly medical jargon going on there.
