I bought a original copy of ss2 awhile back and found out it had a light deep scratch on the cd .
The only file what is stuffed and i need is the SND2.CRF file in the shock folder on the cd.
If anybody could host the file or know where i could download it that would be great.
cheers shane

You know what's weird. I have the original copy of SS2, an ISO Rip, a Burned Copy, and the SND2.crf is fucked up on ALL of them.

You can get CD's that are scratched up fixed if you take them to a video or game rental place and ask them to run it through their scratch remover. They fixed a Planescape Torment cd for me that looked like it had been run over with sandpaper and was totally unreadable, got it back in perfect condition. They charged a dollar, but some may do it for free.

I imagine it would depend on how deep the scratch was since I think CDRs use pigment based 0s and 1s rather than the pit/groove patter you'd find in a purchased CD.
BTW how goes it with ss2 hacking?

Yea, if you have a scratch that deep you're screwed.
I was on vacation from working on ss2 due to work, but I'm about to jump back in.

hi mate,
I'll slap the file on megaupload for you. Will post back with link.
Hopefully no rules against this sort of thing here?
