oh man between this and 'Animal I Have Become' I think Three Days Grace is a top contender for Most Annoying Band Ever. They're right up there with other nominees including Every Pop Country Star and katy perry.
QFT. They need to quit their fucking whining. Pussies.

Shitty 70's rock? Look no further than The Steve Miller Band. Miller was like a shit version of Bowie, he stayed relevant by copying the styles that were popular at time.
Oh yeah, Peter Frampton was pretty shit too.
Good 70's rock though? Listen to the soundtracks of Martin Scorsese films and the great Vietnam films.

Dude, the 70's were all about the singer-songwriter. Carly Simon, Cat Stevens, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, America, Harry Chapin, that guy who sang a song about a Chevy Van, Jim Croce, Joan Baez.
Then you have to throw in a little Jethro Tull, some Blue Oyster Cult (well, really only Don't Fear The Reaper), a bit of Boston, some Rod Stewart, Kansas, BTO, Golden Earring, Nazareth.
You're better off getting on iTunes and getting this stuff one song at a time, otherwise you'll get a compilation of 2-3 good songs and then a bunch of filler.
Although, this one looks tempting:

Or this one:

But whatever you do, make sure you get "Slow Ride" by Foghat in honor of the great Jimmy James.

That's odd. When I think of the 70's I think of Queen, Zeppelin, Skynyrd, early Van Halen, Yes, Rush, Kansas, the Beatles finding their feet as solo artists (Wings was hit and miss), and lots of freedom for bands to explore and blend various styles with the support of record companies to grow and develop. I know the OP is looking for "bad" stuff. I'm just saying it's strange how some people think of top 40 singer/songwriter stuff which is radically removed from the thing that distinguishes 70's music from pretty much any other era - the freedom to experiment (with record label's support rather than their ire).
