ok well im doing the alternate main quest because oof some complications...:ebil: anyways i got the wraithguard from the dwarf today and he told me i could put it on if i had life >225 and it was completely full. so i put it on..my life went from 256/256 to 26/26... why?? i cant get it back up or anything!!! ive tried everything...PLZ HELP! i cant kill anything larger than a cliff racer and thats sad for a lvl 37 nord:( cmon forsythe whatcha got for me this time:thumb:

I'm not Forsythe but I've heard of this and i think it isn't a bug either... Anyway depedning on whether it does this every time you put the guntlet on I'd try this command (if your on the PC) -
player-> sethealth "256"
If your not on the PC i haven't a clue what your going to do other than perhaps some sort of constant effect restore health amulet set at the same magnitude as wraithguard.

When you first equip the juryrigged Wraithguard the following commands are issued :
Set extraDamage to Random 25
Set extraDamage to -200 - extraDamage
player->ModHealth extraDamage
This decreases you maximum health permanently and is a penality for not doing the main quest as was intended.

ive never completed the main quest the way it was supposed to be done, and i am planning on finishing the full quest this time around and then killing vivec for the other wraithguard and getting it working. About how many quests are left to do after Caius leaves Balmora? This is the time i usually kill Vivec.......so i dont know.

Can I have a hint, plz? No such penalty incurred if you don't kill Vivec for the Wraithguard thingy but instead let him live & train you in its use?

there are two wraithguards, a lefty and a righty. one you get from completing the full main quest, the other you can get at almost any time in the game. i am going to complete the full main quest, then kill vivec for the other wraithguard and talk to the dwarf to get it working.

If you do it the 'right' way you won't loose health when you equip it.

getting the other wraithguard is more for people with their major and minor skills maxed out, by then you should have about 650 hp and loosing 225 or so hp isnt really an issue cause everything dies within 3 hits. And anything that hits me only takes off about 20 hp at the most. If you are only about level 30 then complete the game the right way, and later on when your bored then go get the other.
