I am so silly I spend 8 hours on this. How? I don't know. I am so good at wasting time and doing things slowly. Anyway I have made two profiles for you because I don't know which type of player you are. One saved game is for stealth players and one is for assault players. Just download the (

ICEBREAKER!...
You rule!
I tell my (very analog, never touching a PC) wife now and then about cool things that can only happen because of 'the Net'.
This is one of them.
I really appreciate the help. I don't really play games to often (2 & 4yr old kids/wife/family etc.) but I have finished Jedi Outcast if you ever need anything from that game. Just keep me in mind.
Drew,
Oh by the way. call me ignorant, but what is the real difference between the two versions? Personally, I was shooting my way through but will enjoy the stealth approach. This may keep me more interested in the game for a very long time!!
Thanks again!

You can open the map in question by using:
open 08_NYC_Streets
The problem is that you will have nothing, no augmentations, no skills and no weapons.
The two sets of saves are different. They have different augmentations, skills and slightly different weapons. I have carefully worked out how much augmentation upgrades, skills, and weapons modification you should have at that time. This was what took a long time. They might not seem too different because they are not polar opposites (which never works well). For example both have the cloak augmentation as well as the speed augmentation (instead of silent run for stealth) because the speed aug far outweights the silent run aug, even for a stealth player. I also considered giving you the flame thrower instead of the GEP gun because you have the spydrone, however the next few levels are filled with bots, it just seemed as if you'd use the GEP gun quite a bit, so I still added it. There were quite a lot to consider, as well as which mods to add. If you want, I can explain every decision involved with every item, aug and skills. Ha ha.
This is why I didn't just tell you to jump to the map.

Icebreaker,
thanks again,
I wanted the level cheat because I cannot seem to remember where I left off (lousy memory combined w/a long time ago, this game still rules!).
I tried to play level 8 and that was a long time ago I am way past that. So first off I need help figuring out where I left off (or close enough to it).
I think now that I was just about to sink the ship (or whatever). I do remember that JCDenton has converted to the other side. Heck I may be in Paris.
Dude, I'm afraid to ask for any more help. You are spending too much time helping me out. I do really appreciate it though.
If I could get the level cheat working then I could figure out (by trial and error) just where I am supposed to be. Then maybe after that you can help create the proper environment I should be in, but if that's a little frustrating for you (it probably would be for me, or most others) then that's ok. I just need to get there and I'll wing it.
I cannot seem to get the cheats enabled. I opened the DeusEx/system folder and located the User.ini. Opened it and found just one T= reference. I added 'talk' saved it and played the game.
This worked flawlessly in 98SE now is it and XP thing that it doesn't work this time?
Also, music is great but sound effects and speech are all garbled. I am using SB Live 5.1 with XP Pro.
Any advice there?
Thanks dude,

Icebreaker helped me out with save game files after losing mine but I need to get the cheats working so I can figure out where I was.
I don't want to play it over (did it twice already) and it's been a long time since I played last so I forget which level I was on.
Thanks people!!
