I am in meteor room having problem with demon. i just can't win teh fight. i use 4 health potions, 1 mega heal speall, 2 fireballs on him and i am using short sword enchanted with bones and poison. i also have wooden shield some enchanted leather armour and some chain leggings and a mithiril helmet.
My character has 40 knowledge, 41 close combat, 11 strength and casting and 11 defence.
i kept smashing the demon and smashing. once i even thought i got him when he crawled sort of together but then he opened up again and attacked. I simply cannnot beat it. is there any softspot on him or any special tactics? should i use a bow? should i get back and buy a better weapon? help please...

I'm sorry, I'm not much help. I just kept clubbing the bastard until it died. I don't think it has a weak spot or anything.

never mind. i beat it with bow hiding using the altar as cover or to slow him down. :ebil:
no i am trying to find all 6 stones, but i can't. somewhere somehow i missed 2 of them. but i dont' kno wwhere. no i have to retrace every room in the crypt. althought i think i missed them somehow in 1st level of crypt i am not quite sure anymore. it could be 1st or i could also have m issed them in 2nd. point&click pisses me off. :grr:

That got me, too, gregor.
You need 5 stones ("Akbaa's Rock"), but you only find 3 in the entire world outside the Ylside fortress.
The 4th is inside the locked chest in Iserbius' room in the Ylside fortress. The key for that chest is hidden in a secret compartment in the same room, and as far as I know the chest cannot be lockpicked. If you still can't find the secret compartment with the key: [SPOILER]combine a candle with the skull that is missing one on the desk, and the compartment will open up[/SPOILER].
The 5th stone is in the inventory of a high priest of Akbaa wandering around in the Ylside fortress. You have to kill him and loot it from his corpse. What got me, though, is that the priest will not appear until you have completed the Ultimate Weapon quest. That drove me crazy until I finally found the problem tucked away in an online FAQ. You have to forge and enchant the "ultimate weapon" before you can get the fifth stone and enter the final area of the Ylside fortress.

Try jumping up on the altar / platform where the girl is tied down (right on top of her ;) ). Usually, the demon gets hung up on the base, or to one side. You can then (usually) just beat on the demon with impunity, until it is dead. If the demon works itself loose, and starts landing blows on you, try jumping down, circling around the altar, and jump back up. I keep jumping while running around; to stay ahead of the demon.
