Hi guys, I'm an Italian user and I have a problem with the first chapter of Thief.:(
I can't run it on Windows Seven 32 bit, VGA drivers are updated and DirectX also.
When I launch the game, I can only hear the sound of the splash screen, then crashes and backs to desktop.
My PC hardware is: Windows Seven Home Premium 32 bit, NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS 512 MB and Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33 GHz.
If you need any more info, just ask... I'm in your hands.:thumb:
Please, help me!:p

I used the automatic installation and the ddfix says that the Thief.exe is patched.
But when I launch the game, the crash still continues.:(

step two-rename the movies folder (this will disable the cutscenes),and see if that gets you ingame.

describe the crash in detail (it should be different than before,as the movies are now disabled).

no, the game crashes at the same moment when I start the game.
I only hear a sound, then it crashes.

Sounds still to me like a graphics driver issue. Try to uninstall it and remove all remaining files (there are special tools for this purpose). Then install it again.
