When I try to run SS2 on W98 using my ATI Radeon 9250 it tells me that I can't play it because the game doesn't support that Video card.
What can I do??

Did you read the big red FAQ at the top of the forum? Because there's a fix for ATI cards in it.
If that doesn't solve it please post the exact error message you get.

I read it, but it says with ATI rage cards, I'll give it a try either way.
The dialogue box says something like "System shock 2 doesn't support your VGA card"

Sorry, I skipped the 'rage' part it seems. Still this is worth a try.

This could also be driver related, but try this out and see if it works first.

I tried the FAQ solution but didn't work.
Maybe I could try using and old Catalyst driver.

No, I'm using the ones that came with the card 5. something.
You know I tried to run it on Win xp pro service pack 1 and didn't work, I even tried to run it on my laptop on win xp home service pack 2, and also didn't work.
And you know I'm not a noob, I'm a computer science student, and the only solution I found was to run it on W98 using my old dusty Nvidia TNT2 M64.
I guess SS2 doesn't love me.:p

My SS2 loves me so much that I run it with my 7900 GTX and 84.21 drivers. :p
Your problem is pretty weird, you added safe_texture_manager to cam.cfg right? For whatever reason that made the very same error go away when trying to run the game in my friend's PC.

Wait a min. cam.cfg? The FAQ said user.cfg!
I'll go try on that file instead.
