I wiped out the four skeletons in robes that summon bonewalkers (their name has escaped me at the moment) and the apprentice is still alive in fact he is standing behind my character. and im infront of the alter but when I get near it with the guy who is supposeed to clense the shrine nothing happens. At first I though I was at the wrong place but after a quick serch on gamefaqs.com I found out I am at the right place. So can anyone help me out I would relly like to continue the main quest but needless to say I cant until I resolve this problem.
Anyone got any sugestions?
(p.s. I dont want to resort to cheating if I dont have to)

Have you killed all the Lichs in the shrine area? You'll get a journal entry once you've killed them all. I've found that sometimes one of the Lichs gets hung up on an object in the far side of the room, and for some reason doesn't come after me like the other ones do.
If you HAVE gotten the journal entry saying that they're all dead, then... I dunno.

I just completed this one myself. Make sure you check out the cave past the shrine. There were a few more guys to kill down there. Once you get the Journal entry your good to go.

no I haven't gotten the journal entry from it yet i'll search the caves over one more time and see if that does the trick
