I'm doing a Redoran quest involving looting a tomb south of Molag Mar, and I need to get into the room opposite the staircase leading up to the tomb's entrance. There's something inside ( a Storm Atronarch, I think), which has detected me and is now blocking the doorway. Everytime I try to open it from my side, it opens about two inches and then is prevented from swinging any further.
Anyone got any solutions, or at least a noclip cheat? Thanks.

If you have a bow shoot it through the door (just walk into the door and start blasting away).

You can do that with a bow? Cool.
The other solution is to stand right next to the door and use an area effect spell- the one that worked for me was Elemental Burst: Fire (or Frost, or whatever, as long as the monster isn't immune to it. In case of your Storm Atronach, a shock spell would presumably be resisted)
I once had to get into a room in one of the old Dunmer fortresses. The door was blocked by a rat, and the room contained a person I was supposed to rescue. Fortunately, by chance or design, she was standing well away from the door and on a table, so the spell missed her and I accomplished the mission. But make sure the range of the spell is only a few feet, just in case.

yeah, but if its not a monster but a person you want to talk to and he is "insaid" the door and you can't open it and can't talk through that door ?

This is easy, go away from the area and come back. The AI will have wandered around and you should eb able to open the door. Non hostile AI isnt a problem as it goes around randomly instead of charging to the player and thus blocking any doors.

if it's an NPC blocking the door, you can type 'ra' on the console, and this will reset all NPC's back to their starting location (which presumably wasn't blocking a door). WOn't work for monsters, though.

Theres a couple things you could do... I don't think you can shoot bows through doors, but I've never tried...
Ania's probably said the easiest way... area effect spell/scroll at the door.
You could also walk up to the door and go invisible(potion or spell), the monster will end the fight and wander(you have to be next to the creature, if you aren't, the creature will keep trying to get to the spot you were last visible at.)
RA might work, if an npc is blocking the door, it will go back to its start spot, which wont be blocking a door(not sure about mod npcs, bethseda didn't put any npcs blocking doors in its version.)
TCL toggles collision, this is your no clip cheat(you can walk through objects, npcs and monsters can walk through objects, walking up/down, all stuff that comes with no clipping...

Your idea won't work, ai turns off if you get far enough away(leaving the cell, or if exterior, going farther out than your ai distance setting, thats why if you run far enough away the battle music stops, the ai for that creature/npc gets turned off.)

Cheers guys. I tried sleeping for several days outside the tomb, and after a while the Atronarch had wandered off. Consider the tomb officially pillaged :)

If the AI is close enough (the door wont budge or you can occasionally see a hand etc sticking through the door you will score a hit. This has been tested by Pestilence Laboratories™.

I assumed that when you get far enough to reset the AI and get back it wont be there to block the door, and if one left the door to try to open "through" the AI and walk far enough the AI moves to allow the door to open through. Just a guess tho..
