Hm...
Try switching off
hardware acceleration in game menu.
Try any of the compatibility modes (Win2000 maybe).
Try "flicker frequency" of monitor in 60 Hz.

Hi Clearing, I did what you said in your previous post as to shut off the hardware accelarator and it work. But the graphics are not clear and not clear and grainy. Is there something else I could do to fix the graphics so I can be pleasing to the eye.

Hello SW,
Can I assume you running windows Xp Sp2..? I have noticed that the nvidia graphics driver version are you using 178.24, this is optimized for much newer nvidia cards than your 7600GT.
As most people on this forum should know :tsktsk:, In regard to nvidia dx9 cards (4/5/6/7 series), Thief 1/2 dosent like driver versions above Forceware 84.xx.
Please download version 84.56 - (

If you want to keep the newer driver than your going to have to install the DDfix patch -
