I merely pointed at the joke, didn't explain it. And even my pointing was just meant as a "Bravo!" as I had just laughed my ass off. :)
Interesting fact:
In 1966 William Labov studied the (
http://www.cambridge.org/catalogue/catalogue.asp?isbn=0521821223) social stratification of English in NYC departement stores, thereby establishing the field of sociolinguistics. It turned out that the sound "r" being spoken (or slurred/left out) was dependent on social status.
Now I explained it.

So if my status is low I automatically won't say that lette?

Basically yeah, though this was a NYC study only. And the speaking-situation will have an influence too and also the question if you know you are being tested.
Try eliciting the word "fourth" from people unaware of your test and listen for yourself. (Labov asked clerks for wares he knew to be stored on the 4th floor.)

It's prolly time for a new logo. I need a 'Trioptimum Webmail' logo in .gif or .png format that's scaled to 143 x 59 pixels for the trioptimum.com webmail login and interface screens.
Could also use something new for the (
http://mail.trioptimum.com) http://mail.trioptimum.com screen.
