Uh oh.

I've been occupied by earning some money, so I'm busy for app. ten hours more a day. I hardly find time for my own stuff unfortunately. But I've seen that your tweaker messed up/replaced my T3Ed inis. Does it work with taking a blank file and applying the changes? If yes, how difficult would it be to display the changes which are already in the file with the tweaker.

It only adds/changes anything in the game's ini files except T3Camera.ini & the schema files.
If you don't change any values then the tweaker will apply the game's default. Also it reads the game's existing ini files & no configuration should be blank.
That's why I'm a bit miffed to see that nobody is giving me feedback on this thing. These issues need to be taken care of & I hate releasing anything that may or may not work because nobody's giving feedback :tsktsk:
The newer version is here btw:

Patience! You have a small audience, here.

That's why I went to ThiefGen.
It's understandable if people are busy but it'd be nice to know if they are. To keep me hanging is not very polite.

Well, I wonder whether it uses my ini file(s) and reads out its possible differences from a vanilla ini file, displays them in the according windows if existant and saves all changes back into this file instead of dealing with a blank/vanilla and then altered ini file which is copied over my original. I just saw that the old T3 Tweaker works this way. I started it and it had already recognized the changes done with the new one.
Plus, again the suggestion of making markers for the original settings. Otherwise e.g. those multiplier sliders don't tell me anything tangible about how it will change AIs' behaviour. I'll have some tests now if I find the time.
Edit1: I applied almost no changes and now my briefing text is... gone. Making the font sizes smaller didn't result in anything either apparently and in fact all text in the game is gone, including books, plaques, objectives... it might have something to go with me changing the font to the smaller Carleton from the Minimalist Project but even when that's the case it is just another argument for using the ini files at the players end as long as possible. This could include an option to save the status quo as "original custom settings" or something.
Edit2: I just copied my Default.ini and some others from Thief3Edit to Thief 3 because I thought it would fix the font issue but now all the menu's gone. :weird: The loading quotes are displayed in a far too big font size. Where does the Tweaker apply all these changes?

I'm not sure what you're saying here . . .

The original settings are the default as soon as your start it up (menu: Edit>Use Default Values)

Is the original font still in your install? Besides, this tweaker was designed with vanilla tds installed & if you had previous tweaks before using this than your on your own I'm sorry to say :erg:
I'll see if I can put in support for the minimalist project. I have 4 different TDS installs & I can load the minimalist project on that.

There are other ini files that tds uses. The tweaker uses most of them & the schema files (Quotes.sch, Inventory.sch, HelpText.sch, UI.sch)
To get a better idea on how involved the tweaker is take a look at the T3 Tweak guide.

It'll help if you post your ini files either as pieces in code or a zip file.

It worked after copying some older back-up Default.ini from the Editor install.

But that's exactly what makes things more complicated. The old Tweaker detects automatically any changes already made to the ini files and adapts all the sliders, option boxes and values etc.. Maybe there is an error message, but otherwise it works. With all the tools for TDS out there you cannot demand a vanilla install all the time and exclude any other ways of tweaking the game (e.g. manually). At the moment your program would overwrite these changes by the next click on "Apply".
Nah, I'm tired now, I'll use some better words tomorrow. :p
