hmm maybe i should avoid Atronach then. I plan on making alchemy a minor skill so I can use it to power level my intelligence. unless of course that 50% spell absorb stacks with resist magicka. I wonder would a Breton with a 50% resist magicka and 50% absorb magicka be immune to magic? or are they separate and one just overides the other when they both hit?

I thought it was a 50 percent CHANCE to absorb magicka.......hmm.....Hey what about Iron Mage? Iron representign heavy defense and well mage representing....well hopefully I don't need to explain any further for you to get it.

Powerlevel your alchemy by making Restore Fatigue for the first 8-9 skill levels during a level and then make the Restore Magicka and Restore Health potions you need for the last skill level(s). Or just power Alchemy up to 100 asap. You can always get the Int you need by leveling Mysticism and Conjuration.
As for the other question. Spell Absorption is checked first, then Reflect and last Resistance. But they are checked seperately, so a Breton/Atronarch (without any extra items) would have 50% chance to absorb any spell and if that failed have 50% resistance against it.

Did you decide on a class yet?
If you were considering Turtle, why not make it more exotic? Testudo, being latin for Turtle, isn't as generic and it still means the same thing. I'm no scholar in Latin syntactics, but Testudo Magicus may, possibly, mean 'Magic Turtle.'

I got a character pretty much mapped out, but he waiting by the sewer exit until I can figure out a good class name. Tetsudo Magicus isn't bad, but it doesn't sound like a class. Unless I just keep the first part and make it "Tetsudo Mage".
Also can you change the class name after the sewers?
Gorgonseye on 27/4/2006 at 23:54
Tetsudo Mage does have an interesting ring to it.........

Testudo, not Tetsudo ;)
You can change everything using the console ((
www.gamefaqs.com) has a console command list), though by changing your class you also change your sklls and such. This will usually reset your minor/major skills.

Why not the old standby and use Juggernaut?
Big armored tank, big explosions, the name should sum it up.
For more bizarre sounding names: Impervious or (SSBM reference) Switzerland, might be reasonable.
Or... whatever.

What about Pollux (Latin) or Polydeukes (Greek), the immortal of the two brothers Castor and Pollux (although Pollux Troy died in (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119094/) Face Off). He was more of a hand-to-hand-combat type.
Man, don´t fiddle around with character generation too much, get out there and play the game.

In Icewind Dale (rpg game) you could read some history about some highly trained elven warriors that were also very skilled in the ways of magic and diplomacy. Those elves called themselves "Bladesingers".
Wouldn't that make a good class name? :)
