Or how 'bout we don't 'get used to it' because innocent people dying over some loser fuck-up with a bad haircut that couldn't keep a job at McDonad's (McDonald's for fucks sake) isn't a normal part of day to day living that most of us want to just accept. As for your brother, it sounds like he should be in a mental institution. I'd recommend looking into one yourself if you think we should just 'get used to' stuff like this.
Fett, go fuck yourself. Hard.

Two things wrong with your post:
1. fett is right.
2. fett doesn't fuck, he makes love

I understand what you're saying to some extent fett but I think that for most normal people the whole idea is so surreal that you just wouldn't expect it ro want to believe it. I suppose that in the USA in the 2000s you've just got to realise...

So then he stabs someone with a knife, or some bystander who would also be armed won't have his gun and more people will die. Rhetoric gets you nowhere, this has been debated dozens if not hundreds of times on this very forum.
Gun ownership is (largely) illegal in the UK and has been since a mass shooting in 96 I think. Guess how many mass shootings we've had since then? Compare the proportion of murders in the USA in which a gun is the weapon to those in the UK. Massive difference. And what proportion of those guns are legally owned? More than half you say? Closer to 3 quarters? No shit. Sherlock.
And how many times have these shooters been killed by someone else? Seems they always do themselves.

Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere, but it's quite possible that you're the biggest dumbfuck on the entire internet.
oh fuck you old man, what do you know about today's youth? seriously? how many freinds do you have and hang out with that are 16-24? you better get a clue, and fast because having kids of your own you of all people should understand this kind of shit.
SubJeff on 6/12/2007 at 21:09
Oh for the wisdom of youth!! :laff: :laff:
Shut up Thief13x. Do you really think that what is behind emo has only been around for as long as you? Ha ha ha. Just because current trends express it in that way doesn't mean it wasn't around last generation or the one before that and so on.
Thief13x on 6/12/2007 at 21:18
I don't get where the hostility is from, i'm just saying I have lots of freinds who throw around phrases like "pretty much everything sucks about pretty much everything in life" and "the only good thing about living is smoking" and shit like that. I've hear it all a million times from kids who own a ps3, iphone, and sports car courtesy of their parents. They never quit whining about how much life sucks. After a few years you kinda start to realise that they can't look at the good things in life, but never would go as far as they claim. It's the ongoing constant attitude of doom and gloom that causes the stereotype. Most of em can't get a girlfreind because all they do is whine about shit. Thats all I'm saying.

36 is old now? You'd be very surprised what I know about "today's youth." (Note for bystanders: "Today's Youth are Very Different from the youth of past generations. They are under More Pressure and Listen to Emo so anyone over 24 can't possibly understand how Hard they Have It).
What I understand is that you somehow want to associate emo music with some loser shooting up a Nebraska mall. It's the same shit for brains non-think that blamed the Matrix for Columbine in the 90's and suicide on Ozzy Osbourne in the 80's. If you can't understand the very simple, retard-easy fact that these people have serious problems, much of it to do with parenting and the adults in their lives (and that the media to which they're attracted is a mostly a symptom, not the problem, if it says anything about them at all, which is highly speculative in the first place), then no, I guess I don't understand "the youth of today." But I do know for one thing that 99% of them wouldn't use such a stupid phrase to describe themselves and would disassociate themselves from someone who did. AH WE'VE COME FULL CIRCLE.
failure2comply: Your well-thought out response has convinced me. I'll just get used to it. I hope you'll do the same when it's your kid or spouse with a bullet in their eyeball. "These things happen. Just get used to it." It will be a great comfort to you in your time of loss.
