That subculture has existed for about 30 years, if not longer. For some reason it usually led to bad poetry/films/music rather than mass violence. And probably just like that kid, it wasn't just one thing that lead to this disaster. So in true TTLG fashion all variables are discussed, I don't see a problem with it.

Obviously you only read my take on it and nothing before that. Emos are LESS likely to go out and kill people. The same was true of goths, mods, etc, in their respective times. They weren't the ones with hitlists, they were the ones who left everyone alone and listened to terrible music.
Not sure why this is the case.
On the other hand, when you give someone raised up to be outgoing and stuff depression or anger, and you introduce violence into their mind through the media sensationalization of things like Columbine and Virginia Tech, you have a potential murderer on your hands. Why? They don't know how to HANDLE IT. Emos have their ways of handling it, most of which involve forcing physical pain on themselves (slashing wrists and tormenting their ears with that garbage they call music) to release the emotional.
As for me not being cool, well... Kiss my ass. Seriously. I'm not here to entertain you. I'm here to BE entertained. Oh I know, I'm a selfish whore. Deal with it you insipid twat.
That said, I'm only "uncool" if you can't comprehend the massive amount of puns and the like that are all through my posts or if I'm in a relatively bad mood and not caring enough to hide it. Or if you dislike every woman who isn't a brainless slab of aesthetically pleasing flesh, in which case I am wishing that the semi can't stop fast enough next time you're crossing the street.

Maybe Chris Rock was onto something. Maybe the answer ISN'T gun control, but just very very expensive ammo. If a bullet is $3000, you'd be pretty damn sure you'd want to kill someone for a good long time before you did. And probably save up for it.
