What are you talking about, leaving his job has been the best thing for his TTLG productivity - this is the best posting career revival since ignatios Para?noid Shades buglunch .... ok, it's a first.

I'd like to petition that Uncle Stitch be contracted to write all RBJs thread titles.

I second this motion.

My thread title is just fine. It's the most prescient scene in all of Hughes's work and really needs more recognition for how brilliant it is.
I would like you all to rewatch Ferris Bueller right now, and pay special attention to the scene where Ed Rooney is comforting Sloan on the steps of the school about her dead grandmother.
When he utters the line about "...grief and nothing..." take a good long look at the look on Sloan's face. She's standing there being comforted about the "dead" grandmother that she knows isn't dead. But there's something more going on on her face. She's clearly creeped out by this old dude who's... kinda hitting on her, a high school student less than half his age?
Now, as you watch that look spread over her face, think of this: Jeffrey Jones, the actor who played Ed Rooney, was arrested for possession of child porn in 2002.
Now check out that look on Mia Sara's face again.
You're welcome.
