It looks like a new extremist movement is developing in Russia. Well, new and not really new, as it practically, but not quite logically, integrates two most extreme ideologic movements of the last century.
Just consider
(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Bolshevism)
The main ideologic thought integrating it's members is non-compromising opposition against Putin and idea of "Great Russia". Despite that they don't consider themselves as marxists, they praise Stalin and Lenin, Guevara and Nietzche, but only their practices and not ideology. However, they despise Hitler because he was an enemy of Russia. Strong nationalism is apparent among party's members however, but they differ themselves from Nazism in a way that, allegedly, their nationalism is based on cultural allegiance to Russia rather than on ethnical principe. They have some black people as members. Most of the young members dress as skinheads. The party integrates several former political prisoners, and in fact rhetorics of their leaders are quite well mannered. Terms like "burgoeisie" and "proletariat" are understood differently than marxists, and they really don't have clear economical concepts - they even tolerate small enterpreneurs.
Well what the hell. This looks like a nice legacy for a brave new 21st century.
Not only in Russia. Most interesting is that they really don't know what they ideologically stand for... yet. But we are strong in ignorance, aren't we. :erg:
Your opinions & comments & prospects?

Thanks for that. With the War on Terror and the threat of Islamo-Fascism it is comforting to think back to the good old days of the simple Red Menace...
*sigh*

Congratulations on combining the most idiotic ideologies of all time into a steaming hot plate of stupid.
I linked to (
http://www.exile.ru/2006-February-24/scared_skins.html) this earlier (the site is associated with the movement and Edward Limonov, the leader of a NB party, wrote for them for a while, even though most of the people behind it are American expats rather than Russians) but it seemd appropriate to do so again.

The people are severely unhappy, so they well seek satisfaction through available means.
I do not identify myself with these *charming* people, but I understand why they choose to hold their beliefs.

Interesting you say that they are well mannered and tolerate different ethnicities, we'll see where this goes...
