So, NASA just released a video on how they imagine people could live on Mars.They show all these different areas and then this module and I had a System Shock 2 flashback:

And I was about to say "I don't see your point", and then the bit with the familiar setup to hydro comes up. So fair enough. I see why you'd think it.

I'm still wondering what they're going to eat there. The food production they showed in the video is obviously not enough even for 1 person.

Yeah, I think it was somewhere in Hydro. I remember that in my first play-through a Rumbler surprised me there.

Yup, I was always under the impression that the crew would produce too much CO2 for plants to survive - turns out they don't produce enough for them to survive.

Mars atmosphere is 95% CO2 - I doubt that's a big issue on that particular planet.

If they go the way of the Red Mars books, then it'll be just the matter of coming up with a grass / weed that can thrive in Mars's climate, plant that all over the planet, then fast forward 100 years and we'll be all good :p.
