I am having a really strange problem with T3, that's left me mystified as to the cause with no solution in sight.

It started when I was testing a new T3 FM to see if it works. So the game loads up, and then I click to start the mission, then the usual loading up screen with the progress bar displays itself, then a message box with Windows saying there's a problem and I am kicked out of the game.

OK, so i try loading the FM again, but this time it won't even go into T3, Windows says there's problem.

So i uninstall the FM and try to load original T3, but WIndows says it can't again.

In my experience T3 tends to be the most unstable of the 3 games, problems often crop up, so i reinstall the game... and it doesn't work, in fact the problem is worse, when i try to start T3, my computer freezes. I reset, reinstall another time and the same thing. As far as i can tell it maybe trying to access the game disc, which is in the drive, i think it's doing this because a 'spinning disc' symbol appears and my computer is frozen. Yet the disc drive isn't active.

So, can anyone tip me off, as to what is going on? Usually a reinstall fixes most problems. But this has be befuddled. :confused: :cheeky:

Oh no, I am using WIndows XP, Service Pack 2. :cheeky:

It's always worked before and i can't see any reason why a fresh install won't work. :rolleyes:

Can't think of anything relating to Thief 3 or a game in particular, so I would suggest you try some other games and see if they're behaving properly or if there might be some sort of problem progressing with your machine. I don't assume you've changed your video drivers in the meantime.
