Rob Halford sucks dick.
So?
I loved Judas Priest in 1981. I had no idea Halford was gay. It was rock, and it rocked.
About the late 1990s, I found out. Does this somehow diminish the music they made? I think not. Maybe it's a bit funny to laugh at all the leather-gay-sm-stuff, now, but really, who gives a crap? Music is music.
Hell, I didn't even know Pet Shop Boys were gay until about 1993, having listened to them since 1985. I don't really care.

you know, it's alright. I don't think anyone here was seriously saying that gay = bad.

Iron Maiden. Post 1985 they're pretty hit and miss, and that mid 1990s stint with that other guy (can't even remember his name!) was a tragic mistake. But they rightly dominated the early 80s metal scene, and Live After Death is to me the definitive live metal album.
I've only just read this, but what do you mean hit and miss post 1985? ever listened to Seventh Son of a Seventh Son all the way through? what about Brave New World? that shit is badass.

I realize that I've engaged in this discussion equally, but my mullet alarm just started going off...:erm:

If we're gonna be pimping Maiden (which is definitely justified), can i toss Anthrax in to the mix? i performed many a headbang to their greatness.
