My stats are lowered, but can't seem to raise them. - by Brad Schoonmaker

OK, this may seem like a dumb question, but does anybody know why my Personality and Luck stats are shown in red and lower than at the start of the game? I caught some common discease and they were reduced even more plus Strength was also until I visited a shrine. The offering raised them a bit only (Strength to full).

i think u should try some cures (common and blight desease) and it can be a curse as well. and i think the shrine healed u temporarily.
at the top of the box that lists your spells, there are small logos that show the effects on you... they are also at the bottom right corner of the screen... u can see the spells, active enchantments, permanent shields/resistances on you, and diseases as well... negative effects are red and the others are white so look for a little red square box there...
i hope there is no mis-info above...

I figured it out. Thanks. It turns out that somewhere along the line I got them lowered. Don't know how, but I'm still experimenting so I'm not keeping everything clear all the time. I'll just have to keep an eye on my stats and get potions to restore any that drop again.
Thanks again.

One of the PC patches allows you to donate at an Imperial Shrine and Restore your attributes. This will return all red attributes to their original levels. Or you can use the potions.
This sort of thing occurs when a creature (Bonelord for example) casts a damage attribute spell on your character. (As opposed to Drain Attribute). This effect is permanent until you restore it again.

When I use fortify intelligence potions to boost my intelligence it leeves me with a intelligence drain. After the potions stop working I find my intelligence drained by about 50 pts. This has happened on more than one occasion. Anyone know why?
