Well I just got my new Logitech MX400 mouse. So far I'm happy with it. But anyway my question has, obviously, something to do with SS2.
Specifically, I'm trying to configure de controls in the game so as to use my new mouse buttons (two "thumb" side buttons plus wheel tilt). Now I kind of imagened that the game wouldn't recognize them. Which it doesn't. So my question is, IS there a way to use those extra buttons in SS2?? (I would really love to change ammo type with the side buttons!!!) ;)
Thanks in advance!

Only way I can think of is to use an input-remapping program to temporarily turn those extra buttons into keyboard keys.

can you get any software to bind mouse buttons to keyboard buttons (ie, bind 'mouse4' to 'e') that works with your mouse?
Not playing cs while posting would probably lead to less ninjas....

well, I guess yes, since I did something similar with the set point software that comes with it. I change the side buttons function to "generic" in order to use them for Hellgate London. But I can also apply keyboard functions so I will try it and confirm.

If your on-hand software doesn't pan out, there's a freeware app called (
http://www.autohotkey.com/) AutoHotkey which has a bit of a learning curve but can remap mouse/keyboard/joystick buttons to whatever you want.

the very easy answer to your question is:
X-Mouse Button Control and
Mouse Wheel Control
These 2 programs allow you to assign keyboard buttons to the extra buttons and also to bind the mouse wheel to common commands. Between the 2 programs I can auto switch weapons and use my extra 2 mouse buttons for whatever I like (and also the wheel button).
