Oh of course not. But it's not right, especially when TTLG as a whole are generally a little more...caring.

posting deeply personal matters on the internet is never a good idea unless you're prepared to receive at least
some..well, 'less than sympathetic' comments.
Might be disappointing, but it's certainly not surprising.
But if you read his first post, the man felt he had to just get it out ... And there are some things where it's almost better to get it out to the anonymous public than deal with telling it to a friend or family face to face and then have to bear talking about it with them.
And TTLG isn't entirely anonymous; regulars more or less "know" each other, at least some of their personality ... just (for the most part) without really knowing them as real people, or just parts ... Feels like he thought that was a good compromise. Tell people you "know" to get it out that aren't around you in real life to rock the boat.

Wow and it's not even April 1st.

Considering a lot of people seem to behave like TTLG is their internet home-away-from-home, and there's a stronger sense of community here than on other forums such as "I hope you got ten bucks" SomethingAwful or the trainwreck that is the Steam forums, I see no reason why there shouldn't be the occasional venting, showing off or general E/N post in CommChat. At least here the risk of someone like Tumbleweed fagging up the thread is reduced to, well, Tumbleweed.

Obviously you've never been to a Sypha Nadon thread.

How can you say that?

Not fair. Sypha is like an abused wife or housepet, you still
love them but still feel the need to regularly beat them.

Thanks Scots; now I've gotta clean up the Pepsi I just spewed all over my desktop after reading your post.
(It went up my nose, too.)
Agreed with dethtoll re: the TTLG community.
