And over here in the west of Scotland, every town and village in Ayrshire has its Masonic hall, one of the biggest grandest buildings in each town.
But as CCCToad says, it's because they're a crew rather than any top down conspiracy. (Although who knows, those big boys might be at it as well, for the same reasons. Because they can.)
