Gunsmoke - that's harsh. I am sorry you have to face that process and the grim truths that might result. I hope you are able to have some resolution and healing, whatever the outcome.
In general, gross incompetence or malicious handling of cases is hardly new or surprising. Wrongful convictions and wrongful dismissals are common. As for Masonic interference, the Masons are riddled with cops and lawyers and while these days they are mostly benign, mower riding shriner types, it is not inconceivable that favours of a sinister sort would be forthcoming, especially in a small town, thirty years ago.
And as for Tumbleweed, hating l33t, intarweb speech and cntrctns is perfectly legitimate but there are times to express such opinions and times to STFU. For people with adult sensibilities, a thread on murdered fathers and murdering mothers is clearly NOT the right moment to criticise an OP's style choices. To march in here and blow a fart that loud, then call Gunsmoke "crass" or blame fett for stinking up the place, well suffice to say, despite our watering eyes, we saw right through it.

Since when are personal issues not allowed around here? If we deny that, you may as well kiss all those meets good bye. All the relationships, and friendships that have been formed over the years. People can vent, and share, that is what makes TTLG special. Deny that, kiss goodbye what TTLG is, unique. Its the people, what we share, what we bring to the table, some intelligence, some laughter, some angst, and some stupid shit, in the end, this is what keeps TTLG going. I wouldn't want it any other way.
