Hello:
I had problems getting the data files menu pick to show up okay so did a re-install. Now that aspect is okay.
I test loaded the "Area Effects" mod but it does not show up in my TES 3 file menu pick.
Also the Morrowind.esm master file has a black X mark by it. Does that X mean it's installed/active okay, or not?
Should I just try another mod? Maybe I didn't extract the arrow mod properly into the Data Files folder?
Any help would be appreciated...

Hmm.. sounds like you put the mod in the wrong place; you sure you extracted it right?
As to the X next to Morrowind.esm, yeah, that's pretty much always gotta be there (well, until a modder thinks of a way to write new Master files). It just means that it's supposed to be loaded, as it should.
