My level 77 character is gone. ISO of cheats to recreate. - by Sati

I had completed the main Morrowind quest, as well as the main quest with Tribunal, and obviously lots and lots of side quests. I worked very hard on this character to be the best she could be, and be prepped for Bloodmoon. After losing my previous character months ago in a hard drive failure I rebuilt, even though I still remembered ALL of the quests turns and it wasn't as fun as the first time when you have no idea who's going to do what.
Last night I used a program to copy all of my essential files before reformatting. It copied absolutely eveything except my Morrowind saves...........
I like going through the game as the Nevarine. I like all of that. I had a high rep. Is there anyway to recreate my character to what she was via cheats or mods? Man, I feel so stupid. I was confident that all was prepared for me to reformat last night :[

Via console commands and the game editor you could easily get back all your gear and lvls. Getting the quests back could be a bit tedious though.

I'm so anal when I play too. I like to clear as many areas of the map as I can and do all the dungeons I come across. I collect books and gear, and all that. Too bad you can't rollback a format...

Too bad you can't rollback a format...
Well, if it was a quickformat and you didn't wipe / encrypt the HD data afterwards, you can do it the hard way using the DEBUG command or the easy way using one of those software programs that removes a format for you. I can't remember the names of the programs, but just take this an an oppurtunity to remember why MSBackup exists.

you know alot don't you?
sati the best thing to do willl be adding all your gear someplace outside the census office. Then use console to set your stats back. Ryushi will fill you in on the details ;)
I think you can clear the map via console to. An I guess, if you want, you can set the journalentries of every quest you did..Doesn't seem worth it though.
All this only, of course, if exiles plan don't work.:)

lol, you give me more credit than needed sappe. I started a new game anyway. There's a great site to go to for finding the ID of items (I'm too lazy to open the editor.)
Just go to (
http://www.morrowind.nl/) www.morrowind.nl (it's in... german or dutch or something) and check out their database. But the TES Editor is also good too.
And to add items? Open the console with the tilda key (~) and type:
player-> additem "itemID" 1To change stats is simple. Just change strength to whatever stat you want (this works for skills too.)
player-> setstrength "100"I can't help you much on the quests. But as it's already been said, you don't need to complete the entire mainquest. If you're powerful you could try the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=68470&highlight=Kill+Vivec) backpath (I'd make a backup first because I don't know if you need to be Hortator and all that to do it but you'd undoubtedly need the Moon-and-Star Ring) or just play from the point where you recieve the ring.
You can just add the journal entries needed to make yourself Hortator of the great houses after recieving the ring? *shrugs*
I hope all that makes sense...
