G-Smoke's o.g. o.p. is a reminder of exactly why I don't carry or own a weapon. I get angry enough at internet dickheads; in his situation, with a weapon in my hand, I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have been able to control myself.
By the way, a few months back I did some research about knife carry and use laws, and from what I can remember as long as you are attacked first and your attacker continues to aggress, you are justified in using a knife/deadly force. The instant he stops attacking or even backs off momentarily the situation changes, and if you attack him it then becomes aggravated assault or assault with a deadly weapon.

Anyway best I can figure is that shit just happens. You decide when it does if you can step over it but you can't always. Sometimes it's a really big pile.

Probably not have said anything in the first place. It's possible that I would have said something if I was already in a really pissy mood, but as soon as they stopped and started to get out in a confrontational manner, I would have
run the fuck away as I'm rather confident in my ability to outrun most people with pants hanging down half their ass, and also because I'm only partially retarded.
I'm totally with oudeis on this one - I'd imaging that most people would behave differently (worse) if they carried around a gun, myself included. If I owned and carried around a revolver, I probably would have shot at least a dozen cars by now (commuted by bike, and most drivers are assholes).
BTW Tocky, I am from the South, and I even have a firearm (Browning a5) that was given to me that I use for sporting clays a couple times a year, but I keep it unloaded and stored in the closet the rest of the time because there isn't any crime around here, and it's at least 20min to the closest mountain lion.
