Since the Mistery Man is too fast, I tried to use a speed potion heading the right side of the table just before reading the book, and as I return to the game, I run straight ahead: then I fall down in a dark area, waiting for the M.M., and when he comes to the lower floor, I attack him from behind with several slashes till he dies.
Hoping this will help!
Bye!

Doaal,
Thanks for the tip. I finished the mission and loved it. The West Tower had a great feel about it. I hope you continue this story.

Hi All,
I've been reading the back posts on this mission, but I need more help. First of all, I'd like to say what a fantastic mission it is. It's truly tops with any others, even the T2 missions.
Here's my problem. I'm playing on Hard. I've knocked out everyone, except the entrance guards, and have free run of the place. I found all the Talismans and have gotten the tower key. I open the tower door and the skeleton guy asks for help and then collapses. The Master's minions come after me, and I've even killed them all. The only 2 objectives left are to confront the Master, and exit through the rear gate. But how do I confront the Master? When I go further into the tower, all I come to is a room with a mirror and a note that says the truth is out there so go find it. (Or something like that) I didn't know what to do so I pounded away on the mirror with my sword, and this made some kind of creature come and try to attack me through the mirror. It sounds like a typical white type of zombie. If I stand too close it can hurt me, but I can't seem to hurt it. Is this the Master? If not, how and where do I confront the Master? I've read the back posts that talk about reading a book and using rope arrows but I don't know where you all mean. So please tell me what I need to do next. How do I confront the Master, and where? Thanks.

The answer is an old trick I learned while playing Zelda.
Put out the torches in the room with the mirror.
Yes, they had this same trick in a Tomb Raider mission also. Well, it wasn't exactly the same but it involved a mirror and looking at the difference between real life and the reflection.
No, you will know for sure when you meet the master. MWAHAHAAA

Thanks SlyFoxx, I got past the mirror and what a surprise. I wasn't expecting all that. I got a small glimpse of the Master just as he killed me, after reading the book. Now I'm beginning to understand what you all were talking about in the back posts. It looks like this mission is suddenly going to get very hard. I have to replay it from when I open the tower doors because I used up all my goodies on the black zombars (or whatever those things are). I better save something for the Master and the white zombies inside the mirror. I'll holler if I need more help.

I've completed the Mystery Man, and like I said, Excellent mission. I hope there's more TG missions as good as this one was. The Master wasn't as hard to beat as I expected him to be. Although this is possibly because I read in a back post that
he can be killed with the sword, much like the regular Haunts can. Nevertheless, even after he was down I kept stabbing at him to be sure he was dead. I really was expecting him to get up again.
But once I saw I was able to lift him I knew he was dead. (and I checked the objectives to be sure confronting him had clicked off)
My congrats to the author. I loved this.:thumb:

I used the same trick I use on all people, hit, and circle around back, while hes hitting at nothing, just stab stab stab until hes dead

Another trick to whip him!
Be sure to save your invis potion to the end! Then quaff it right before you read the book! I did that then hit him with every thing
I had while I was still invisible!
Edit: Oops, I just saw Nightwalker's post about the potion only being
on easy! It's been a while since I played that FM, It's
one of the few that has a lot of puzzels that I can actually
solve!:)
