Ahh the water talisman :) Are you playing on Normal? If so:
Find Alexei's golden plate on the main floor dining room. Then go read the book in the kitchen
If you're playing on Hard or Expert:
Find Alexei's golden plate in his room near the West Tower. Then go read the book in the kitchen

Have you found Hector's Chambres yet? If not then you need to get the Master's Key.
To get into Hector's Chambre:
The entrance is in the big library on the main floor. There is an office to the west with a switch that opens the bookcase that leads to it. In the throne room look behind the throne for a lockbox that you can use the Master's Key on. It will open the second bookcase but only for a short period of time

dooal first let me say that MM is an awesome FM it rates up there with calendra...Now maybe i'm an idiot or something but I've completed every task but I still haven't located the scepter.....I've looked all over hector's chamber......:tsktsk:
