These are mentioned respectively in the letter on Hector's desk and the journal with the skelton crying help me in the tower. But I just can't find any sign of it in Hector's room in either Taffer (Normal) or Garrett (Expert). Haven't been able to kill the mystery man in Expert yet. One of the disadvantages I'm finding with Thief (as opposed to Thief II) is that I can't configure the speed potion. Sure would come in handy when you're forced to stand right up to the last message before you can read it. Talk about being vulnerable and having invisibility potion in expert(as far as I can tell). I was zapped half dead before I could even turn around. Maybe Garrett should retire.

Fabulous mission Doaal. Great Architecture and story line. I recognize those zombies from MOC. You have a devious mind. Strange hiding places for loot, too. There's one that can only be accessed if you have a fire arrow else you can't get close enough to pick the lock. And blackjacking 8 guards at the front door was a real treat. Loved getting all that loot even if I was over 2000 short of max. Would have been nice to have been able to use some of it to buy some more flash bombs etc. in expert. Never found Jerrich, Drake or Talbot either.
Had a funny experience in Normal, when I got to the zombar laying outside the entrance to the tower's trigger gate it went inside instead of coming after me and the gate came down with me on the wrong side. Good in that I was still alive ... not so good in that I wasn't able to finish the Mission during that play.

To answer your question, I removed the "poison" because of a weird bug involving the MM.
As for the gate closing, I did have a few strange experiences like that. Sometimes the boundstrigger wouldn't work, other times it would. Very strange...

I have both the master key and the upper floor key but still none of these work to get me into the tower by the pool? Which key or lever do I need to get inside?:eek:

You're part-way there! You need to have all 4 talismans. Have you got them yet and have you found the Talisman room, with the 4 holders? :)

Yes I found the room with the holders, but I only have 2 talismans not four, I have the 2 that both go on the right side. I really thought I found everything there is on this level. Slashed every banner and things like that. So where are the other 2 talismans located?:eek:

Also is there a reason for the cell area that contains the bodies of the dead guests, other than to add the atmosphere to the game that is, because I finally managed to kill that freaky zombie but I found nothing except an unsuccessful attempt by the victim to write his murderer's name?:nono:

I can't remember which two go on that side.
Earth Talisman - [SPOILER]You go through the door that is behind the bookcase in the big library. In the throne room, at the end of the hall, you will find a lockbox behind the throne that unlocks with the Master's Key. Go back out the throneroom door and look to your right. You will see a new doorway, but it only stays open for a short time, so if you take to long, you have to go back and unlock the lock again. [/SPOILER]
Air Talisman - [SPOILER]You've probably already found this one. It is in a chest in the Treasury.[/SPOILER]
Water Talisman - [SPOILER]This one is in the area below the dining room table. If you haven't figured it out yet, you need to find "Alexi's gold plate" and wash it in the sink to open the trap door in the top of the dining room table. You may have to dunk it in the sink several times, depending on the difficulty level you are playing at. The Talisman is up on one of the shelves down in the ice room. The sceptre is up on one of them, too.[/SPOILER]
Fire Talisman - [SPOILER]This one is in the room beside the one with the Talisman holders on Easy and I think on Hard, too. (I'm not sure about that, though) On Expert, you have to go into the small library, which is down the hall from the dining room, and pick up a book on the shelves. Place the book on the table underneath the note about it and a secret door opens to the area with the Fire Talisman.[/SPOILER]
I didn't find anything in that jail cell area either. :)

Hmm, I never would have figured the last 2 talisman locations on my own.

I've heard a lot about this mission and I decided to try it out but I can't find a valid link for it, the ones that were on the Thief-DarkProject.com site didn't work. Well there was a link to a fileplanet download, but no way am I paying money to download something that should be free. Anyone know of a different link to this file?
