Dearest lady Nightwalker,
I did look in that chest above the skylight and it was empty so, please, where is the invisibility potion in expert then since it's not there? BTW the stuff about the ghost was talked about in one of the other posts asking for help on this mission and I'm pretty sure that more than one person wrote about it (I did a search in the FM forum for "Mystery man").
Thanks also Sharga, I saw those ledges and actually had climbed up most of 'em but when I got to the talisman I figured that was where they were leading to and never looked to see that they went above to that balcony or whatever it is!

As far as I know, there is no invisibility potion available on the harder difficulties. At least, I never found one (which doesn't mean it can't be there, but if it is, it's not someplace obvious.) As for the ghost, I guess the only way to be sure would be to ask the person who made the FM. Maybe I'll e-mail him. :)

Okay, I just spent quite awhile doing a search on the Fan Mission forum, General forum, Editor's forum and the Thief 1 forum. I didn't see any mention of doing anything with a ghost in this mission, so I don't know what you read but maybe it wasn't about this one. I did see a post from doaal that said the "poison" which is the holy water was removed because of a weird bug that cropped up, so that's definitely not available. :)

Sorry Nightwalker,
I just went back and searched again and it was in Dreamwalker's post entitled Mystery Man- Holy Water/Poison where he talked about the journal being in the room with the crying skeleton. I guess he must'
ve thought those noises were coming from one of those skeletons on the floor or something but when I read that I just figured he had done something with some other dead guy type entity. He may have been refering to the journal when you first come into that fireplace secret passage? Ah well...

Hi there mates!!!!!!
I have been able to complete all fan missions with the help of some posts from others users, but this one has me stumped. I have logged in 9 hours of playing time and still haven't completed the mission. It's very dissapointing because I will not give up a mission without finishing it, and the way it looks I may never will without some help. I've read all other posts and it seems I am missing one very critical key.
I have the Talismans of Earth, Fire and Water. I am missing Talisman of Air which I know is in the room with no handle by the back gate. I can't open that door. I have Master's key, Crystal shard, Upper Floor keys, Front Door keys, Dinning room keys and Alexei's plate and still can't open the door to the last Talisman.
Also I can't find Hector's Fire poker. I have read all posts from other inquiries and have even printed them out, and they mention that it's in Hectors room. Well I have gone back again and again....I have jumped, walked, crawled through every square inch of space in his room, and still can't find it.
Please....I need help.... I may not be able to go on to any other missions if I don't finish this one.
I need to know where exactly is Hector's damn Fire Poker and how can I open the door without a handle by the back gate.
The back gate doesn't seem to wanna open either. I'm also trying to find Lan so I can open the treasury by the Library and can't find him either. I suspect he's in the West Tower???? and I hope he's dead too ....he has caused me great suffering!!!!!!!!God help him if he's alive and I find him.
I gotta get that fourth Talisman!!!!!! I gotta get in the West Tower!!!!!!
Anyone who can offer some assistance will be rewarded with
1000 silver coins plus the sacred "Swamper's Gold Keyboard"
Hope to hear from someone real soon.
This may seem a job for Nightwalker...but who knows.

Nightwalker to the rescue! :D

Go up stairs to the area with Alexi's private dining room and go into the servant's room just down the hall. Slash the wall tapestry, climb in there and the key is on the dead body. If you read the book in there, you should have seen a reference to a "bad smell". Guess where it was coming from?
The fire poker is in Hector's rooms. You need to slash the wall tapestry beside the stand with the golden skull on it.

How can I get inside the Trickster Tower? I have the Master Key but I don´t know where I should go next...
LEGION on 18/11/2001 at 18:46
I think I need the last, the earth talisman. But where can I find him?
Nightwalker on 18/11/2001 at 21:22
Hi, Legion. Welcome to the forum. You are correct. You need to have all 4 talismans before you can get access to the tower. Is the Earth talisman the only one you are missing?
Highlight here for help:
Spoiler:
The Earth Talisman is in Hector's room, in the safe. Have you found his room yet? Since you have the master's key, it will be quite simple if you haven't been there. Go to the main library and in one of the small side rooms, there is a switch on the wall that opens a bookcase out in the library. Behind it is a locked door that opens with the Master's key and down that hallway, you will find a throne room. Look behind the throne for a lockbox and use the Master's key on it, then go just outside the throne room and a false bookcase to your right will have opened. That is the door into Hector's room.
