yeah... i got a handful of grand soul gems... but always lookin for more
well i had.. i used 4 now.. 3 golden saints and one of those winged batwomen.. forgot their name.. only come across two of em so far..
and i am currently running about fel dagon looking for the island for that quest azura gave me... to get azura's star...
eh spell casting is easly learned.. as a dunmer assassin i had pretty crap magic stats.. but i shell out heaps for training... my destruction, mysticism and restoration skills are useable now (read in their mid 30's, by no means great but useable, recall works just about everytime now and so does the heal spell... and that's what i use the most)

The island you need isn't on the main dragon fel island it's one of the smaller ones to the north :) Good luck.

thanx myriad :D
but i already knew that.. i should have said "run about dagon fel and surrounding isles"
question in regards to the rest though...
to 'recharge' an enchanted item.. i obviously need some more souls... and i gather
those can be lesser souls.. but do i go to an enchanter or do i have to do it myself?
in the latter case i would have to go pay for some serious enchant lessons...
i am asking because after a battle with multiple opponents in close quarters i was
flailing the sword about and at the end wasn't left with much charge (due to multiple
hits on enemies who were already hit sufficient enough but their health was still
draining, so they still could receive more hits and therefore eating up the charge)
damnit... where did i put that soul of that energiser bunny :cheeky:

You can't pay to get your items recharged, you have to do it yourself which also practices Enchant, it doesn't matter how big the soul is, each time you recharge you will gain the same amount of experience. Also the higher your Enchant skill the faster items will recharge themselves.

really now?
well... i guess i gonna take my cashed up self to the closest enchanting teaching
person... :cheeky:
thanx for the info

Damage Health & Drain Health Enchantments -
Do these two spells have the same effect but 'drain health' only lasts for a certain amount of time e.g. 20 seconds while 'damage Health' is a permanent effect?
wun on 24/7/2002 at 00:39
i think (and it's only my opinion) drain health lowers your current value of health...
eg for a person with 100/100 health drain health of 5pts for 5 secs takes away 25 points and makes it 75/100 hp...
while damage health reduces the max value...
so in comparion the same spell with damage health leaves the person with 75/75.
hehe and i think this only matters when done to you... because usually when u start
lowering someone else's health it always ends up permanent... :ebil:

Damage Health does not reduce maximum health (try casting a low powered Damage Health spell on your character). All Drain effects are supposed to be temporary both according to the manual and the ingame text and they still reduce the target (health, attribute etc.) by their magnitude each second they are in effect.

i stand corrected...
but like i said.. don't matter in the end... as long as they're dead...

So basically 'damage health' is an unaligned sort of elemental damage where as 'drain health' simply reduces the target's health for a given set of time?
