Speaking of von Trier, I just read Ebert's write-up on Antichrist. I am intrigued, appalled, amazed, disgusted and gobsmacked all at once. Either I see this and be mentally scarred for life, or I don't and miss out on one of the most unique and malefic experiences cinema can inflict on a person.
Goddammit I'm torn.
I say go for it.
I remember going to see his movie
Breaking the Waves with a friend and his father at an arthouse theatre. The father, who I think was a pretty conservative guy, got more and more uncomfortable as the movie went on.
When we exited, there happened to be a homeless man urinating on the traffic light, and the father just exploded "Has the whole world gone crazy?!"
One of those moments in life that you just can't expect a normal movie to inspire.

I know Borneo, Sulawesi, Java and Sumatra. Have you ever been to the jungle? It should be cool. :)
