I am proud to say I have never voted for Bush.
I'm proud to say I've never voted for ANY of the Bush clan either. Doesn't make a difference in the state I live in though. You'd have to ship in about 3 million Democrats and Independents for my state to change its forever red trend. Even though I classify myself as a Republican by values, I can't stand some of the party's views.
Utah - Famous for:
Plural marriages
Red Rock country i.e. Moab
The Great Salt Lake, come on, IT'S GREAT!
The Bonneville Salt Flats - Where else can you do like 300 mph legally in the US?
Blue Sky Pilsner Beer - Uinta Brewery. Best beer in the US, hands down.

Yeah, pretty hard to think of anything positive to say about the USA in contemporary times. Although the continual violation of its citizens' privacy and constitutional rights and the genocide of the nation's lower class youth via a prolonged occupation (as a result of an illegitimate war) are pretty damn sweet, eh?
Ah, yes the good old USA, we're the country it's cool to hate. Not that I disagree with the points that you mentioned, but I can't help but get tired of the fact that we're all the furries* of international opinion. I've lost track of how many times I've been told that US tourists should pretend to be from Canada, in order to avoid unpleasantness.
Also did not vote for Bush.
*I.E. acceptable targets.
Oh, and if we're doing states too, mine is known for Seattle, Starbucks, and Microsoft, and no we're not anywhere near D.C.
