Agreeing with this, just got an 8gb Sansa Clip for £42. It sounds great, doesn't jog
How does a solid state digital player jog, exactly? (no dispute or anything. I've never owned one, dunno how they work etc)

I have absolutely no clue. I'm not into the tech at all, all I know is that I've owned mp3 players in the past that skip when I'm running and this one doesn't.

Sennheisers tend to get massive discounting (bought mine for £13 for example), so the twice the price part is not necessarily the case except for RRP.

Are you sure the mic jack isn't coming loose? I've never experienced an mp3 player to do jog at all.
Regarding topic. Sony earphones are generally very good but probably more expensive than they should be. Sennheisers aren't as awesome as some make them out to be but I've never seen a bad set of Sennheisers

Sennheiser, as most manufacturers, produce different quality sets for different price leagues. I've had Sennheiser in-ear-headphones delivered with a player that were mediocre at best in sound and workmanship. Generally they tend to produce pretty good headphones though.
