Does anyone know what music format they will use in DX2? Will Alexander Brandon be the composer this time as well? I personally like the mod style type of music but the format is getting old as it lack many features.

"for dx2 we are going with a much more ambient style for music, b/c we want to keep the immersion high. the over-the-top cinematic stuff has its place, but we dont feel like it adds to the immersive sim. we want to draw you into the world as much as possible, so think along the lines of the liberty island music that was almost like wind blowing, but held a faint and haunting melody in the background."
"nah, no more mods. it's some really cool new format that's actually real samples of real instruments, but can be programmed via computer. i dont know exactly how it works, but it's really, really nice-sounding. the goal this time in general for the music is to be much more ambient and mood-setting as opposed to in-your-face like some of the songs in the first game. it'll be more along the lines of the windy background music of liberty island, or the smooth melodies of lebedev's airfield (personal favorite)."
Sounds promising :thumb:

I dunno - I loved Deus Ex's music tracks. Made me feel like I was really an agent. Hong Kong and UNATCO's especially. Oh well, whatever they decide to use is fine with me.:thumb:

The music in Deus Ex was good & parts of it were really creepy (like in the Underwater Labs), but I noticed that when J.C. starts to kick ass & piss people off, the music gets faster & louder, but it was techno. While I don't have anything against techno, is there a way that we can buy different music cds by various styles (like the movie "XXX" had rock on the 1st cd, & rap on the 2nd), but that they would be specifically for the game Deus Ex 2? I know that you can play cds on DX1 already, but if they had the cover of DX2 & the logo, would you buy it? Just a marketing thought. ;)
