So I am working on a website for a small local business and they want a nice flashy intro page. Of course, that would go nicely with a bit of music, but alas, I am not a composer.
Usually when I need free music I check out Newgrounds Audio Portal, but they have a strict "no commercial use" policy. Since this is a site for a business and I am getting paid to make it, I can't really use their music.
Any good websites where I can get music from? Free would be best, of course, but if there's a fee to pay to use the music in commercial projects (such as websites) that would be fine too (I can just bill my employer).
(and yea I tried googling but the sites I found looked shady so I wanna get some TTLG recommendations in first.)
(also #2: classical music is public domain and would work perfectly. but the actual recordings of it aren't public domain... unless I'm missing something)

Unfortunately: "Freesound focusses only on sound, not songs."
EDIT: looking at the freesound linked me to (
http://ccmixter.org) which has music, some of which does not have the noncommercial clause, so I guess that should work. it even lets you search specifically for commercial ok music, woo!

musopen.com collects public domain recordings of classical music.
jamendo.com has lots of free music under various creative commons licenses, you can filter search results to only include works that allow commercial use.
