Lots of our old favs will be releasing stuff ja ja ja I know. But tbh nothing of recent times has really grabbed me. I stumbled upon this BBC news "piece" - the BBC longlist for "Sound of 2009" and I'm liking what I hear.

In particular White Lies and "To Lose my Life", and although they look like they are trying waaay too hard Empire of the Sun are quite good. The tracks are cherry picked but it's all pretty good imho. Frankmusiks track is much better than he "looks" imho.
Have a look guys and gals. And suggest new stuff if you have any.

Supposedly (

oh yeah

Massive Attack - Weather Underground
3D has finally reteamed with Daddy G, the latter whom had no involvement with the last two albums (100th Window and Danny the Dog).

Insomnium, Iron Maiden, Mastodon, Megadeth, Rush and Slayer all have albums coming out in 2009. Isis, my favourite band, is supposed to as well. Looks to be a good year.
