Music files crash to play :(
No new software installed, I just have no idea what caused it.
All I can think of is the loading of a friend's savegame, - by coincidence music began to crash after I loaded it, - but I used to do the same thing once a long ago as well and it hadn't caused anything like this then. Besides, it crashes no matter what savegame I now load.
Other in-game audio isn't harmed.
Well, before reinstalling the game I just hoped to find some simplier solution.
Could it happen because of the memory shortage?

The MP3s play normally in any player? Perhaps you should remove MP3s from being "owned" by every media player you have, especially Windows Media Player and Winamp.
Memory shortage, I doubt so. Also I don't think the savegames borrowed from other system would cause crashes, save files don't change any of your settings themselves.
Alternatively try to experiment with following settings in Oblivion.INI.
bDSoundHWAcceleration=1/0
bMusicEnabled=1/0
bSoundEnabled=1/0
iMaxImpactSoundCount=32/24/16
(better have bDSoundHWAcceleration=0 if you set sound channells value too low as it might cause instability too)
Also try to reduce hardware acceleration in Windows' Sound and Multimedia>Sound>Sound playing>Details>Performance settings to lower values.
My head-blowing issue when I installed O was that it was causing hard reboot of my x64 system with Audigy SE, when I loaded any game on any session after the first. Then I reduced HA two levels down to basic and it loads fine, but the sound is somehow lacks dynamics and it's annoying to go to Sound and Multimedia panel set HA back to normal for every other purpose.
I suspect Audigy drivers for x64 being responsible for this, but it looks like Creative doesn't rush to release updated ones since April, perhaps I should write Bethesda I found a new compatibility bug...

I'll check that.
