The "Acoustic" is actually an electric. I couldn't buy an acoustic and I don't knoiw anyone whom I could borrow one from so i decided to try to make it sound acoustic using an electric.
The point I've brought up a couple times is that that pretty much never works. Don't try to pass fake instruments off as real ones, because people can tell the difference. So don't write for a lot of acoustic instruments until you have them, and can record them (or know someone who can do it for you). And I'm pretty sure he meant something different by "acoustic".
Also, when he said the it's dry, he means there's no (or very little) reverb. Get (
http://www.dasample.com/index.php?show=glaceverb) some (
http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php) decent (
http://magnus.smartelectronix.com/#Ambience) effects, and learn to use them to the best of their ability. And if you haven't found (
http://www.kvraudio.com/) KVR, well, now you have.

well the thing is... I'm very poor. The "Acoustic" is actually an electric. I couldn't buy an acoustic and I don't knoiw anyone whom I could borrow one from so i decided to try to make it sound acoustic using an electric.
Have you ever considered that an eletric sound could be the start of your development? A retard might say "lol hehehe" but you know better, and you can sing a song with massive walls of insane feedback.

Song one: Abort this song and never look back.
Song two: You've got the basics of a solid tune here, but it doesn't really go anywhere. I'd like to hear you rip the top off and open things up at some point. Also, you don't have the voice required to pull off this sort of delivery; either delegate vocal duties to someone whose diet consists of cigarettes and whiskey or bump things up an octave. Still, some nice (if inert) melodies.
Song three: Well holy shit this is so far beyond the other two I'm not quite sure I believe it sprang from the same brain. Most closet musicians try for years to write something this achingly sad before they give up and churn out half-assed industrial circa 1989. Grand fucking slam.
Summary: You've definitely got talent. You know your way around a melody and your arrangements are quite good. There are some rough spots, but those will be ironed out over time if you keep at it.
If you want some suggestions on how to push track two a bit more, fire me a PM.

aND WHEN I SAY "yOU, THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT THE RECORD COMPANYS", i MEAN THE PEOPLE WHO BUY CD'S AT WALMART, BESTBUY, CD STORES ETC. sorry, caps lock was on...
YOU ARE AN IDIOT sorry, backspace was broken... and the do-not-post-this-function was redirecting to
submit replyI did not listen to your music, but: to be "successful" your girl would have to show flesh. People buy CDs because of the pictures and the videos. Music you can download (legally if you like). And I don't think you can live on downloads.

Upon further listenings I think all three tracks defintely need more cowbell.

If you mean success in terms of actually making good music and being respected as a musician, then that is utter shite. And last time I checked, you didn't need internets to listen to music - not everyone has access to it, and they still buy CDs because they
actually like the music on them.

Ok, I am not an idiot. And maybe in your world its all about the exposure, but in the real world its about the music and how people relate to it. Maybe you keep posters of brittany spears above your bed, but people like me actually admire a good tune and respect the complexity of a good song. I personally don't care if people download music for free. I know enough about the "Music" industry to know that illegal d/ling sucks, but doesn't have much of an impact on the sales... And about the caps lock, I was just trying to get the post out because i was in the middle of something.

Sure, I too love some music. But how many of those that sell enough to get a good contract with a major label actually do not look good or show lots of skin or do not have music videos?
Good music exists and is important, but it's not what sells currently. Yes, I know there are some few successful and ugly musicians - which one of those is not old (successful before the nineties)? Music as business is much more than music or much less, but first it's business and much later it's about art.
No posters of any music starlet here. In the opposite, I don't have a TV, so I would not recognise Spears. And since I don't have/watch any TV, I like the current hits much less. Kind of sad what that tells about me, no?
And my insult was only directed at your capslocking. Sorry if that was not clear.

as for the whole visual side of things, a good example is what happened to the career of Christopher Cross after the whole 'video age' thing hit the early 80's. He was one dumpy, plain muthafucker.
actually reading that back it doesnt make a hell of a lot of sense in context of the thread but my point still stands
