I think the amount of votes they would get would surprise alot of people. Of course, it would cause alot of confusion Colbert running for anything, since so many people are too stupid to understand his satire (which isnt overly complicated). He has guests on regularly that think he totally agrees with them even as he is making a fool out of them, then he gets letters from liberals asking how can he possibly believe what he says.
It would certinly be the most entertaining election in a while, they could do an indecision 2008 on themselves.

Did that fail? I thought I had heard that it succeded, or did he just win but couldnt have it work by a technicality, need to check on colbernation forums.
Ren, he fairly regularly has republican guests, although he does have more liberal.

According to the offical rules, he needs to be dead by the time the bridge is finished, but the Hungarian ambassador hinted they could work something out.
