How many factions can i join at a single time?
at the moment im in Blades, Fighters Guild, Imperial Cult, Imperial Temple, and one of them Houses. I think i can only join one House faction at a time? at all? What other factions might be mutually exclusive of each other ?

Aside from the three houses (of which you can only join one), you can join al of the other available factions in the same game. It is possible to achieve the top rank in all too, although this is depending on how you progress through some of them. Most notably as part of quests [SPOILER]you can, but don't have to, kill off important characters in certain guilds[/SPOILER]

I'd say that Thieves' Guild and Fighters' Guild are fairly incompatible, if you want to stay in character, so to speak.
