Hi all. Hope you can forgive this noob question if the answer was obvious, but...
I just purchased the Game Edition of the Year version of Deus Ex and wanted to know if there is anyway to play through the story line in multiplayer?! Or even to just be able to use the maps involved :(
Anyhow, thanks for your time!

Most of the MP maps, fan made and otherwise, are loosely based off the SP maps.
Aside from that, no. But, there IS a co-op project going on, but you'd be better off playing Half-Life's Sven-Coop or NOLF2's inbuilt co-op.

Hmmm... would I be able to convert the single player maps to multiple player maps via the editor (leaving plot goals and conversations entact)? Or does MP even support plot and conversations? If it's possible then is then any reason I could not then cycle through the converted levels using the MP map-cycling option??
Has anyone attempted this before me?
Any tips appreciated!

I don't know much about it, but IMHO DX is not a game to be played in multiplayer. It just doesn't fit the universe.

Well, thanks for your input there - I happen too completely disagree and would absolutely love to play through the story with a friend of mine! Anyhow, does anyone else have some advice to pass my way?
Thanks for your time!

Look into that DX Co-op project, though I still maintain that Half-Life and NOLF2 are much better games in a co-op sense. Heck, Half-Life for the PS2 has a huge co-op thing going on. NOLF2 gives you skill points for it's co-op for you to spend. Whee.
There is a mod that makes normal AI shoot at you in multiplayer if you manually edit them into MP maps.

I think "thuper" might have worked better: may not have even required the [bgam][/bgam] tags with that. Just my opinion. :p

Any tips appreciated! Yes, it can be done, I went to a server were they used their own single player files without doing anything to them.
