Nah, it's misspell. Misspelled is for past tense: "Tuco misspelled the word 'mispell'."
His use was more of a current/future tense, hence: "I only misspell things on purpose." or "I will misspell Tuco as Taco from now on."
Thus endeth the English lesson. :)
