I think it's dynamically updating or something, because it placed LA at 7th when I looked. And Stockton at #2, which is rather lol.

I'm in Stockton, as far as violence is concerned its rather low compared to Sacramento or the Bay Area cities. Very quiet here where as in the Bay Area it was mini Iraq/Beruit on certain nights.

Perhaps my tolerence for violence is higher than most others judging by the stats. Still reading the stats. Mmm.

Wow, New York City is surprisingly low on that list ... even my original hometown Fort Worth has a higher prop. murder rate, and Ft. Worth is not exactly what I'd consider a dangerous city. (NYC is actually tied with Arlington, Texas ... which looks a little surreal.)
No surprise to see DC and Baltimore so high, though ... I hated walking even short distances in those cities at night.

I wish godismygoldfish well in his new LA home, I should of said that earlier. Given this thread, I thought the article was interesting. Misery does love company, no surprise by Detroit. In the end, it really doesn't matter where you live, as long as you're happy, so be it.
